The Gooner Review: A DVD made by the right people, for the right reasons

In Blog News on September 10, 2009 by Highbury N5 Editor

A film made by Gooners, for Gooners.

If you don’t already know, The Gooner Review is a DVD made entirely by Arsenal fans with all profits going to Bob Wilson’s Willow foundation.

There is none of the gaudy over-presenting that is so common on TV these days, its an honest DVD that gives praise and criticism in equal measure whilst also providing a must watch for all Arsenal fans.

I find it quite sad that the FA did not allow and video or radio footage to be aired unless a massive fee was paid, its shameful and just about sums up that association.

There is no propaganda in this, Paul Kaye makes a few cracks and fans tell their stories of a season that started off with dismay and ended in dismay, but in the middle the fans still had the time to believe that Arsenal could bring home one of the FA Cup or Champions League trophies.

The film features many well known faces such as Nick Hornby, Bob Wilson, Judge Jules, Peter Marinello and Perry Groves.

The film can be brought from the Gooner Review website by clicking on this very bit of writing, and it is a bargain.

This is a film made by the right people for exactly the right reasons, no money goes to the club, all profits go to charity.

It really is a must have for your DVD collection.

I don’t think I am alone in saying that the people at The Gooner Review should be very proud of what they have achieved.

Now thats what you call a f*cking DVD!
