Van Persie expected to sign a new deal in the next week

In Arsenal FC on June 14, 2009 by Highbury N5 Editor

Morning all.

The Daily Mail are running with an article saying that van Persie will sign a new deal within a week as he wants it all sorted before he jets off on holiday. To be frank, I have been a little disappointed with his conduct demanding to know what Arsenal’s ambitions are before he signs a deal. Charlie Nicholas chats a lot of crap in this interview but I agree with him in his assessment of our Dutchman:

“Van Persie’s playing a daft game saying he wants to know what the future holds for him.

“Who the hell is he to ask Wenger or Arsenal that? To be fair he’s different to Adebayor because he’s more of a link player and he put in a good shift last season.

“But that doesn’t mean he should start throwing this stuff at the manager’s door – wanting to know who’s going to be coming in before signing a contract. He’s had plenty of chances, just like the rest of them, to do something about it – and, at the end of the day, it just hasn’t been good enough.”

I like him, he has said he loves the club so I’m expecting him to stay, it might get a little interesting if say, Inter, came knocking on the door with a big offer though.

Big Phil Senderos has again reiterated his desire to leave the club, saying:

“It depends on Arsenal. I want to continue at Milan because I cannot see a place for me with the Gunners.”

Thats the clearest indication yet that he wants out, we have been linked with Sakho over the past 24 hours and he does seem a typical Wenger signing. We will see.

Tomas Rosicky has been given until the end of next season to prove his fitness to Wenger, he is expected to be fit for the start of the season so fingers crossed his awful injury record is behind him because he is one hell of a good player. He said:

“If I find the form I had before my injury then I will play. Wenger was frustrated when I told him I would need to undergo more surgery.

“But he has not tried to kick me out so he has faith in me.”

There is not much else about, yesterday it was pretty much confirmed that David Villa has been the latest big money capture by Madrid, the fee being near 40million Euros. Sepp Blatter, being the serial cunt that he is, has actually condoned Madrid’s spending after previously ranting about English clubs spending big money.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, the new definition of the word Hypocryte is: ……. SEPP BLATTER!

That is about all for today, ’till tomorrow, arsefans.

  1. I’m really hoping Rosicky is healthy and comes good. With him & Eduardo it really is like two free signings this summer, both of whom can help the club tremendously going forward.

  2. Blatter’s a c*nt…
