United 0 – 0 Arsenal: On yer bike Ade-bye-or

In Premier League on May 17, 2009 by Highbury N5 Editor

Often on a Sunday I write about the performance of the day before. Yesterday we played well, it was OK, not much more and not an awful lot less. But what is the point in doing that today? We know the season is pretty much over, we have just had to go through the ordeal of watching a squad of hideous cunts in red lift the trophy we have not lifted in a long time now.

I would rather not go into too much depth if you don’t mind.

I will summarise. Defence: Sagna had an OK game, got skinned a couple of times, same for Gibbs really. Going forward Sagna had great intent but his crossing is woeful, Gibbs is fantastic going forward. Toure was a bit hot and cold like usual and Song, I thought, was immense.

I remember him playing in defence a year ago against United at Old Trafford and he was shaky. He has improved tenfold.

Midfield: Started with Cesc further back with Diaby supporting van Persie, Denilson held the fort behind them with Arshavin and Nasri out wide. Cesc was lively and hit the post towards the end, Diaby had his bad moments but overall was much improved on his recent performances. Nasri was terrific and Arshavin running with the ball was a sight to behold, especially as the United defence soiled their pants whenever he went to run in their direction. Denilson had a blinder. Another much improved player.

Striker: van Persie. Not in the game at all to be honest, lost his effect from free kicks. He worked hard though, unlike a certain moaning, braided haired Togan bellend.

Wengers reaction + highlights.

The only hope I get from this is thinking back to last season when Real Madrid won the La Liga after the ‘El Classico’ against Barca. The Barca players had to applaud the Madrid players off the pitch and watch them wildly celebrate the league title. Barca have hit back this season and have pretty much secured the Spanish league title. They are in the Champions League final and have secured the other domestic trophy on offer if my memory serves me correct.

Now Arsenal, lets do what Barca did next season please. It would be very nice indeed.

Moving onto the most unpopular man at the Grove at the moment, Emmanuel Adebayor. If you have not seen his football focus interview yet it is worth a look, he basically has issues with the fans for believing what is written in the papers. His endless flirtations with Barca and Milan last season left him with little respect from the fans and he basically says that because the fans do not have the same love when they sing his ‘Adebayoooooor give him the ball and he will dive on the floor’ song… – Ok, I may have altered it a bit but anyway – because the fans do not sing with the same love and conviction, he does not feel he should play like he used to, running after lost causes and generally make a total and utter nuisance of himself.

Ade was left out of the squad entirely and maybe Wenger saw that interview and has decided enough is enough, he has just got to go.

In my opinion Adebayor will be off in the summer no matter what Wenger thinks. The fans don’t want him here and he knows that. All he wants is his money, he does not care about the man he once was.

The nobody from Togo who had attitude problems and was warming the bench at Monaco.

Its all messed up now Ade, and its all your fault. Sorry but its sad to say that you are no longer welcome here. Goodbye.

’til tomorrow.

  1. You’re wrong! Adebayor is no worse than any other Arsenal player who has flopped this year. What about the disgraceful Bentner? Why not have a go at him? The whole team has under performed this season – and don’t kid yourself that other players love the club. Each player is in it for the money more or less. Wake up to reality. Arsenal is not good enough at the moment. Adebayor is right to say that the fans have let him down.

  2. Well said paulette. If Ferguson had listened to people like this, Ronaldo would have been playing in Real madrid since 2008.

Ade stays, we need a complete squad who know each other inside out foe next season, not some new striker trying to understand his supply line.

  3. Bendtner has been great this season Paulette you bellend.
He has almost as many goals as Ade, with far less game time. He is the future. His goals to minute ratio would easily be as good as any in the EPL.

  4. Its my opinion Paulette. I dont like adebayor and i can voice it on my blog. Many, many many other Gooners feel the same

  5. “new striker tryin to understand his supply line” my foot! whoever said dat strikers needed to understand “supply lines” b4 scoring? ever heard of Fernando Torres? It’s simple, I’d love seein Ade somewhere else next season coz he’s not in d Arsenal mould imo. you don’t see man utd or chelsea players doin silly dance steps afta a worthless goal- only Ade, Eboue, & lately, Sylvestre
