It just gets worse and worse on the injury front

Short post today I’m afraid.

I will go into more depth about the game tomorrow morning but i have a little bit of team news, or to put it a different way, i have news on the players that have been broken on international duty.

Joining Van Persie, Diaby and Nasri on the sidelines are Eduardo and Carlos Vela who will only be called upon if absolutely necessary because he has flown all the way back from South America.

Needless to say these injuries have really pissed me off and to be honest I’m now starting to worry about the run in because we have a lot of important games in a very short space of time. We really do need a full squad to chose from.

All you international mangers can fuck off.

Wenger said of the injuries:

“We have lost Robin van Persie for a groin problem. We have also lost Eduardo through a groin problem, he picked it up after 80 minutes in the Croatian game. We lose as well Abou Diaby with a thigh problem that he picked up in France in training. We might lose Nasri too because he came back with flu and could not practice today.

“So three players are out and there is a question mark over Nasri. But Fabregas, Adebayor and Walcott are all back and available in the squad.

“Nicklas texted us last night and said everything was alright with him. But Carlos Vela, I count out because he lands on Friday morning at 10.30am. However if needed he can be in the squad.”

Just what has international football ever done for us eh? I bet Wenger is tearing his hair out, compensation should be sought if any of these prove long term.

Luckily we will have two strikers to play on Saturday as Niklas Bendtner seems to have recovered from his knock on the knee…We might see the return of the Adebayor/Bendtner partnership that has been less that fruitful in the past. Something to look forward to then.

At least we are now at the end of one hell of a shite two weeks. I’ve had enough of it to be honest.

Right, thats it.

’til tomorrow.

  1. first!

  2. sometimes these injuries give wenger less of a selection headache. if everyone was fit, who is the best team?

  3. It shldnt be too bad tomorrow coz we still av decent player but i really hope nasri plays coz i’d like to see his combo with cesc and arshavin. I hope the others recover pretty fast.
